On Saturday October 27 2007, Bolton Blaze started phase 1 of their baseball facility improvements. The field, when complete, will have first and third running lanes and cut outs that have been extended. The Mound will be regulation size and the home plate cut out will take the shape of a home plate which should be a British First. Future developments will include a batting cage, dug-outs and increased facilities for players.
